Rejected Ogun Senatorial Aspirant, "Yayi", Returned to Contest for Lagos West Senatorial Slot

+ How He was chased out of Yewa at Gun Point

For the people of Alimosho are the name "Yayi" is made popular by Hon. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, the current Chairman, House of Representatives, Committee on Public Account, the man who had initially represented the area in the Lagos State House of Assembly where he was Chairman House Committee on Finance, was at a time the golden son of the area before he allowed his ambition to govern Ogun State blind him to reasoning.

About two years ago, Yayi had reportedly relocated to Yewa, thereby abandoning the constituency which voted him to represent them in the House of Representatives by diverting his attention to his Ogun East Senatorial ambition, only for him to return few weeks back to declare his intention to run as the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate. Though he faces competition from other aspirants in the area who had also declared their intention represent the party in the election. Some of the other aspirants are; Chief Demola Seriki, Mrs. Joke Oorelope-Adefulire, Hon. Enoch Ajiboso and many others.

Yayi whose ambition in Ogun State was said to have been truncated at gun point in Ilaro, we gathered is banking on his relationship with the strongman of Alimosho politics who is also the current Executive Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to win the ticket ahead of other aspirants, his confidence of getting the ticket is visible with aggressive way they are pasting his posters in the senatorial district.

It is to note that this is the same person that after he was voted to represent Alimosho in the house of representatives decided to abandon the area mid-way to pursue his botched senatorial ambition which is the first step towards his governorship ambition in Ogun State.

How Miscalculation and Ineffectiveness Wreck Hon. Lola Akande's Political Ambition

...As Party National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Turned Her House of Representatives Ambition Down

This is definitely not the best of time for this current member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikeja I constituency, Hon. Lola Akande, who coincidentially is sister to the wife of National leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), the party which the honourable is currently serving under. Sources has it that the assembly woman who only started finding her way back to the constituency she had abandoned just last years when she decided to open an office at Aguda bus stop, Ogba, with the aim to cajole the electorates of her closeness to them.

Recent information reaching Society Gazette is that the woman that is highly revered for her closeness to the national leader of the APC in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may not be getting any elective political position come the next electioneering process. Hon. Akande, sources revealead has been boasting of taking over from Mr. James Faleke, who is the person currently representing Ikeja constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and this she hoped will be enhanced by her closeness to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is the husband of her sister, Senator Remi Tinubu, who is currently representing Lagos Central in the Senate.

Her hope was however dashed when she was informed by the man who carries the title Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom, after she approached him to ratify her ambition only to be informed that the incumbent will be returning as he has performed well by giving credible representation to the people in Abuja, so she will not be taking over from him come the next election. She was also given the shocker of her life when she was informed that she would also not be returning to the Lagos State House of Assembly where she's currently the Deputy leader as her position has been given out when she's did not signify her intention to return to the house.

Sources revealed that her disappointment knew no bound when she was informed of the fact that she will not be contesting for any elective position come 2015 a fact we gathered almost reduced her to tears before Asiwaju Tinubu was said to have been moved by her distress to now promise her a place in the excos of the party in the State.

…Lays off Hundreds of Workers without Severance Pay
+ How the thriving company was mismanaged

One of the leading soap manufacturing company in the country: European Soaps and Detergent Limited (ESDL), the makers of Asepso Antiseptic soap, Swift Multipurpose soap, Bubble Multipurpose soap, Pride toilet soap,  Fresh Life Herbal soap and many other popular brands we gathered is at the moment bankrupt. the current situation of the company has been to mismanagement as our findings revealed.
This is another big blow to the belly of the ailing Nigerian economy, coming at a time many manufacturing companies are planning to abandon the country for neighboring Ghana. This is due to the inept effort of the government to make sure things are put in appropriate order as regards stable electricity supply, good road network and provision of adequate security to secure lives and properties.
Nevertheless, sources revealed that the company owned by Indian expatriates has been having it rough for sometimes now due to the manner it is being managed by its legion of expatriate Indian managers and few of their Nigerians top managers led by the company Human Resources Manager Mrs Dupe Akindiya. Sources revealed that she and the company Nigerian accountant Mr. Oshatuyi has been working in connivance with the Indians to exploit their Nigerian staffs and deny them the payment of their entitlements.

Furthermore, couples of weeks back, commuters plying Mile 2 expressway were given rude awaking when hundreds of the staff of ESDL took to the main road to complain the cruel and heartless way they were treated by the company management led by Mr Suren Mirchandani. Some of the protesting staff who spoke with SG, explained that the company Management just decided to lay them off without payment of their entitlements a situation which is against the labour law of Nigeria. Some of the workers claimed they have been working for the company for a couple of years.

In addition it is obvious that the company has been known for the way it treated its staff which is not favourable. This the management has been doing with the help of its Nigerian HR manager who despite that she is a Nigerian is the slave driver. Whereas, the Indian staff is enjoying all sorts of privileges which range from accommodation to cars to weekend allowance to many other privileges, meanwhile their Nigerian staffs, who are mostly employed on contract basis, are only being paid stipends while those who are even in the management level are not enjoying half of the facilities their Indian colleagues are enjoying.

The protest of the past week is just the climax of an already tensed situation which started with maladministration the Indian owners and their Nigerian cohort has been dishing out to the workers. This coupled with the decision to ask everybody to go was as the last straw that broke the camel’s back. A source revealed that the management has all this while not giving chance for the staff to exercise their constitutional right to form a labour or trade union that will be representing them in cases like the current one that is rocking company.
